Consultation of the Trust’s draft Equality Delivery System

The Consultation on the equality outcomes began on Wednesday 29th February and will run until 14th March.

The Trust is committed to delivering the highest standards of access and care to patients from a diversity of cultures, age groups, abilities and needs and recognises the need to proactively develop a culture which is diverse, and one where individual differences are valued and respected, both in healthcare provision and employment.

The Equality Delivery System will enable the Trust to develop specific objectives for the coming year and this, together with our published Equality and Diversity Monitoring Report, underpins our desire to be the healthcare provider and employer of choice in our community and will support us in fulfilling our Equality and Diversity legal obligations as a public body. You can view the draft document below.

We are currently looking for feedback from our staff and external stakeholders on the outcomes within this document in relation to equality and diversity.

Your feedback will help us make the best decisions on how we provide fair and equal access to services for all.

The Equality Delivery System will enable the Trust to develop specific objectives in equality and diversity and these, together with our general E&D Action Plan and our Published E&D Monitoring Report, will support the Trust in preventing potential inequalities and discrimination.
