Worthing Hospital, St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester and Southlands Hospital in Shoreham-by-Sea are all working normally today despite the recent flooding and severe weather experienced across West Sussex.
Work is continuing at Worthing Hospital to clear up the flooding that affected some basement areas on Sunday night, but all clinical services are running normally.
St Richard’s and Southlands Hospitals are also accessible by road and public transport and are working normally too.
Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs all three hospitals, is asking patients who have appointments booked to attend as normal, but to contact clinics as soon as possible if travel problems closer to their homes mean they are unable to come in.
Jeannie Baumann, Director of Clinical Services, Women and Children’s Health, said: "Our staff have been fantastic in clearing up after the basement flooding at Worthing and making sure we are able to operate normally across all three sites.
"If you have an appointment, please attend as normal."
