Acute Pain Management

Aims & objectives
To promote high standard of Acute Pain Management.

Who should attend
Nurses, Midwifes, ODPs, Physiotherapists & Doctors (aimed at junior doctors but all grades are welcome) with an interest in Acute Pain Management. This study day is not suitable for student nurses.

Programme:

  • Applied pain physiology & physiological effects of pain.
  • Assessment of acute pain.
  • Applied pharmacology in pain management and management of side effects.
  • Safe and effective prescribing in acute pain management.

How to Apply:

Applicants can book for all three sessions Acute Pain Management, Entonox & PCA, Epidural & PNB Device Training or choose a combination that suits your needs.  Please specify when booking which session(s) you wish to attend.

Cost: £100 per place for whole day, £60 for 2 sessions, £35 for 1 session
