Please arrive in plenty of time so you do not miss your appointment, but if you are parking on or around the hospital site, please allow an extra 30 minutes as parking is limited.
Car parking charges are as follows:
- £1.60 for up to one hour
- £2.60 for 1-2 hours
- £3.50 for 2-3 hours
- £4.00 for 3-4 hours
- £6.00 for 4-24 hours
Charges apply at all times of day and night.
Stays of more than 24 hours are charged at the 24-hour fee plus the number of additional hours above that – so 25 hours costs £7.60 (£6.00 + £1.60) etc.
If you are dropping someone off, you can park for 15 minutes for free.
Blue badge holders are able to park for free in the designated disabled spaces, but normal charges apply in the main car parks.
You will receive a ticket at the barrier on entry and should pay at the pay station before returning to your car. The ticket returned to you at the pay station can then be used to open the exit barrier on leaving.
Car park pay stations accept cash only (no cards), give change and have an intercom if you need help.
If you have an appointment at the hospital and are unable to find a parking space please ask one of our parking wardens for help.
Do not park in the roadways as they are used by buses, lorries and emergency services.
Parking charge notices are now in force at St Richard’s Hospital. Please refer to signs for full details.
If you wish to appeal a parking charge notice you can do so online or by post at www.ukpcappeals.co.uk/options.
In the event of a patient being admitted to hospital for a period in excess of 14 days the next of kin or a nominated visitor will be offered reduced parking costs of a maximum rate of one hour charge/visit for any further visits at St Richard’s Hospital. Please ask on the ward for more information.
