Visiting times

The times at which visitors are welcome to come in and see friends and relatives on our wards vary between our three hospitals, and also from ward to ward, so please check with the ward before arranging a visit.

When visiting, please help us prevent infection by remembering to use the alcohol hand rub, which is attached to the walls around the hospital, before you enter and as you leave the ward. Read more about infection control.

St Richard's Hospital

Visiting hours on wards at St Richard’s Hospital are

3pm to 5pm, and
6.30pm to 8pm each day.

The exceptions to these are:

Medical Assessment Unit: Visiting permitted after 11am
Intensive Care Unit: Visiting between 3 pm to 5 pm and 6.30 pm to 8 pm
Coronary Care Unit: Visiting between 3pm and 8pm
Paediatric ward: Parents can visit at any time; 8am to 8pm for other visitors

If it is difficult for you to visit during the specified hours you should discuss this with the nurse in charge of the ward.

Worthing and Southlands Hospitals

Visiting hours on wards at Worthing and Southlands Hospitals are

3pm to 5pm, and 6.30pm to 8pm each day.

Close relatives and/or carers who wish to visit patients outside these times are asked to check with the ward first as we have protected meal times.
