Occupational therapy is the assessment and treatment of physical and psychiatric conditions using specific, purposeful activity to prevent disability and promote independent function in all aspects of daily life.
Occupational therapists at Western Sussex Hospitals provide support of this kind to inpatients and outpatients at all three of the Trust's sites.
Children's inpatient occupational therapy services are also available at St Richard's and Worthing.
Referrals to this service are made by a GP.
