‘A sight for sore eyes’ – Mr Teimory creates photographic galleries in eye departments

Friday September 11, 2020

A spectacular collection of photographs now adorn the walls of Western Sussex Eye Care | Southlands as well as the ophthalmology department at St Richard’s, providing patients with a unique gallery experience and a feast for their eyes to enjoy on every visit.

The photographs exhibited have been taken by consultant ophthalmologist Mr Masoud Teimory who has a passion for “all things vision” – from improving the eye sight and ophthalmic care for thousands of patients to an enthusiasm and appreciation of visual arts and photography.

Masoud said: “The photographs all capture the chaos of creation and the beauty of evolution that surrounds the world around us.

“Staff have all commented on the ‘wow factor’ and have praised the exhibition for improving their work environment. Yesterday, the medical director Dr Tim Taylor happened to see them and praised the feel good factor from the art on display.”

I’m committed to improving patient experience

Masoud added: “I’m committed to improving patient experience and was inspired to create a superior gallery experience to match the state-of-theart ophthalmic facilities we offer at Southlands and St. Richard’s.”

At Western Sussex Eye Care | Southlands, patients and staff also enjoy other works from different artists exhibited on the walls of the £7.5 million specialist ophthalmic unit.
