BBC Radio Sussex – Dr Roger Duckitt on the Emergency Floor

Dr Roger Duckitt was interviewed live on BBC Radio Sussex & Surrey this morning (Monday 26) in Worthing town centre where the BBC Local Radio Bus is broadcasting.

Presenter Danny Pike wanted to find out more about the trust’s leading Emergency Floor model of care, which has been shortlisted for an Acute Medicine Innovation award by the Health Service Journal (HSJ).

CEO Marianne Griffiths has also been shortlisted for the prestigious Chief Executive of the Year accolade.

Dr Duckitt, who is the trust’s Clinical Director for Acute Medicine, spoke about the benefits for patients of the new way of caring for emergency admissions at Worthing and St Richard’s and enthused about his colleagues and the culture at Western Sussex
