BUPA CSH withdraws from MSK procurement process

Monday January 26, 2015

BUPA CSH has withdrawn from the procurement process to become ‘prime provider’ of musculoskeletal (MSK) services in West Sussex, having been awarded a £235m contract by Coastal West Sussex CCG last September.

In response to the news, which was precipitated by the findings of an independent impact assessment looking into the effects any new contract could have had on wider hospital services, Western Sussex Hospitals chief executive Marianne Griffiths said in a statement:

“Sustaining and improving the quality of services available to all our patients remains our top priority.

“We recognise and support the improvements that Coastal West Sussex CCG wants to make for patients in MSK services and look forward to working with them collaboratively to make this ambition a reality.”
