Members of the public are invited to two meetings in the next fortnight to hear discussions about Worthing Hospital, Southlands in Shoreham and St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester.

The board of Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust meets from 10.30am on Thursday 26 September, in the John Bull Room, Worthing Health Education Centre, Worthing Hospital.

… we really value engaging with the people and local communities that we serve

Chief executive Dame Marianne Griffiths will share the latest trust news before discussion of an agenda which includes an update on workforce, financial and operational performance.

A week later, the trust’s full Council of Governors will gather on Thursday 3 October at 3pm, again in the John Bull Room in the Worthing Health Education Centre.

The governors meet in public four times a year, as part of their remit to represent the local population, patients, staff and stakeholder organisations.

Just before the end of both meetings, there will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions of the board or governing body.

Trust chairman, Alan McCarthy, said: “We welcome trust members, patients and the general public attending our meetings and we always provide time for public questions at the end.

“Nearly 10,000 people work or volunteer in our three hospitals and, as demand for our services continues to grow, we really value engaging with the people and local communities that we serve.”

The agenda for the trust board meeting is published one week in advance on the trust website, together with forthcoming meeting dates.

The next quarterly meeting of the trust’s Council of Governors will take place on Thursday 16 January 2020 in the John Bull Room at the Worthing Health Education Centre, Worthing Hospital, from 3pm.
