Hospital board to discuss organ donation

Thursday January 17, 2019

Organ donation will be among the subjects discussed at a forthcoming meeting of the board of Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The board, which runs St Richard’s, Worthing and Southlands hospitals in West Sussex, will meet in public from 10am on Thursday 31 January in the Bateman Room, Chichester Medical Education Centre, at St Richard’s Hospital, Spitalfield Lane, Chichester, PO19 6SE.

The agenda also includes a report from chief executive Dame Marianne Griffiths, as well as items on patient experience, performance, finance and workforce.

Refreshments will be served at the beginning of the meeting and members of the public will have an opportunity to ask questions just before its conclusion at 1.15pm.

Trust chairman, Alan McCarthy, said: “We welcome members of the public to attend our meetings and learn more about the challenges and also the improvements at Western Sussex Hospitals.

“As a Foundation Trust, our organisation is accountable to its members, as well as the public that we serve, and we are keen to hear people’s views about our local acute health services.”

The agenda for the meeting is usually published one week in advance on the trust website, together with forthcoming meeting dates: http://www.westernsussexhospitals.nhs.uk/your-trust/board/.
