New car parking fees for St Richard’s from 2nd April 2018

Monday March 26, 2018

We would like to inform visitors that we are changing our car parking fees at St Richard’s Hospital from 2nd April 2018.

Good news. Most visitors will pay the same or less. This is because the majority of visitors park for under two hours and we are reducing the cost of parking for an hour by 30p and keeping the cost of 2 hours the same.

Long stay. The cost of parking for longer than 2 hours will increase in line with local authority rates. Up to 3 hours will cost £4.30; up to 5 hours £8.00; up to 8 hours £11.20. Please see the updated fee chart for full details (Available from 2nd April).

Prioritising patients. The new fees will help ensure our limited parking is only used by patients or visitors to the hospital. The current fee scale encourages some visitors to the city centre to park at the hospital. Fees at our other hospital car parks are already in line with local authority fees.

Car park fee exemptions. Please note our exemptions will be unaffected. Long stay patients or those receiving regular cancer treatment, as well as visitors with our Carer’s Passport, other exemptions and those using disabled bays, will continue to receive concessionary or free parking.
