What to bring to hospital

What to bring to hospital

We have found that our patients are most comfortable when they have their own things around them.

When you’re getting ready to come to hospital, you should pack:

  • Any medication you usually take (if you have a book with details of your medication or a steroid or warfarin card, please bring these too)
  • Nightwear, underwear, dressing gown and slippers
  • Toiletries and flannel (towels are provided)
  • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes to wear during the day
  • A small amount of cash
  • Books, magazines or other forms of entertainment.

And what not to bring:

  • Valuables, including jewellery, electronics and large quantities of cash
  • Food – we will cater for you and can accommodate any special dietary requirements
  • Flowers and plants
  • Pets

If you have any special requirements, please contact our customer admissions teams who will be happy to discuss your needs and how we can accommodate them.
