EM – Educational opportunities
Education and leadership are an integral part of the training in EM.
There is a regular formal training programme which includes 3 hours protected teaching time each week.
Teaching for exams and presentation skills are made a priority.
There are regular Clinical Governance half days.
Trainees are expected and encouraged to attend regional Deanery teaching days and in house training.
Trainees are allocated an Educational Supervisor at the start of the programme who will meet regularly with the trainee to discuss progress in the training programme.
