Medicine – Clinical work and support
CMT trainees have dedicated Educational Supervisors and protected weekly teaching which combines tutorials, bedside clinical teaching sessions and extensive use of the state-of-the-art clinical skills suite at the hospital.
There is good opportunity for junior staff to attend a variety of different speciality clinics whilst attached to respective firms and also by arrangement.
The trainee will have a major role in training other junior doctors and supervising the on-call but will also have a team of AMU-based juniors.
There are opportunities to attend weekly Acute Medicine clinics but also to take part in specialty ward-rounds.
Trainees will be supported in acquiring their chosen ‘additional skills’ for Acute Medicine.
Trainees will be encouraged to take part in service-development and an active clinical governance program.
