Obstetrics and Gynaecology – Clinical work and support

An early pregnancy assessment clinic (EPAC) runs Monday to Friday alongside the emergency gynaecology day unit (GDU).  This provides a dedicated area for assessment of emergency patients who can be referred in by their GP.

Worthing has a full range of both day surgery and more complex open surgery.  Oncology cases are referred to Brighton for review as the local cancer unit.  There are two MDM which afford excellent teaching opportunities.

There is a regular colposcopy and urogynaecology MDM

Colposcopy and outpatient hysteroscopy lists are performed in GDU.

Some day surgery and OP clinics are run in Southlands as well as main outpatients in Worthing.
