Training nurses and midwives

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides high-quality nurse and midwifery training and education in partnership with the Universities of Brighton and Surrey.

Nursing and studying theoretical practice at the University of Brighton will undertake their practical placements at all three WSHFT Hospital sites – Worthing, Southlands and St Richard’s – while students at the University of Surrey will undertake practical placements at St Richard’s.

Students studying midwifery theoretical practice at the University of Brighton will undertake their practical placements  Worthing– while students at the University of Surrey will undertake practical placements at St Richard’s

Students enrolled with the Open University can undertake their practical placements at all three sites.
