Employee of the Month award

Are you a patient, relative, carer or visitor to the Trust who has received exceptional care or service from a member of staff or volunteer?

Are you a member of staff or volunteer who wants to identify a colleague who personified Patient First and goes out of their way to make a positive contribution to the team, the organisation and ultimately patient care?

Please help us recognise and reward our most outstanding people by sharing your experience of a member of staff, team or volunteer who has ‘gone the extra mile’ to help.

Employee of the Month awards are designed to recognise the commitment and dedication of staff members who give a service that is over and above what is expected of them in order to make a difference to patients, visitors and/or their colleagues.

Any employee, bank staff or volunteer can be nominated for an award, whether their role is front line or behind the scenes.

The nominations are scored by a panel of judges, which includes

  • Chief executive Dame Marianne Griffiths,
  • Chief workforce and organisational development officer Denise Farmer,
  • Chief nurse Dr Maggie Davies,
  • Non-executive director Lizzie Peers,
  • Patient representative and governor John Todd, and
  • Staff representative James Barclay.

The winner is presented with a certificate and £50, and is automatically considered for the Employee of the Year award at our annual STAR awards.

Everyone nominated receives a personal letter from Dame Marianne, and is included in a ‘roll of honour’ on our intranet.
